Governor Kay Ivey on Wednesday issued her fifteenth supplemental emergency proclamation containing an amended Safer at Home Order that includes a statewide mask requirement. Individuals will be required to wear a mask or other facial covering when in public and in close contact with other people, as described in the order. This amended order extends until August 31, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.

SAIL Center

The Senior Activities for Independent Living Center (SAIL Center) provides a range of services for citizens 60 years of age or older. The spectrum of services offered is meant to improve and positively impact the quality of life for senior citizens in the city of Atmore and surrounding areas.

The SAIL Center provides congregate meals, homebound meals, senior-friendly activities and health education. We know that later in life adults may have a tough time getting around, that’s why our meals are served in a handicapped accessible area. The SAIL Center also has two vans which are used to transport seniors, for activities such as shopping or dining out, at no charge.
