NOTE: 2010 Census data reflects a population of 10,113. At the time of the 2010 Census two (2) Alabama Department of Corrections (DOC) facilities were included. In 2013, DOC property/facilities were de-annexed, thus removing the inmate population, which decreased to the current population to 8,113. This decrease in inmate population also had a positive impact on per capita income, median income, poverty level, and level of education.
