Who is required to have a business license?
A current business license is required for any person carrying on a business, vocation, occupation, profession in the City of Atmore and its police jurisdiction.
What are the steps in getting a business license?
Complete a Business License Application.
If the business is located inside the city limits or the police jurisdction, the location must meet code compliance. Once the code compliance is completed, a business license will be issued based on the type of business. The City of Atmore will determine what type of license by asking the applicant questions concerning the business. in some cases, more than one type of license may be required.
When does the business license expire?
All business licenses expire on December 31st and are renewable from January 1st until January 31st without a penalty.
